My name is Lars (any/all) and also often Spiritwalker on long distance hiking trails. The short of it is that I went from being a houseless person living on nothing, dumpster diving, and hitchhiking across the United States between weird stays in alternative living at places like Slab City, communes, and ecovillages…to riding a bicycle 20,000+ miles across the country between seasonal ski work gigs. More recently, I have hiked the majority of the Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail. During which, I had a blog on The Trek for a while before deleting it.
I decided to build a website of my own to share my experiences as they actually happen without the influence of others in the thruhiker world around it.

My plan is to attempt to travel the world via foot, bicycle, and thumb. My style has become to do it more based around gut feelings and spiritual value rather than consuming landscapes as accomplishments. Meaning: I often make my own routes, do things out of the norm, and could change my plans on the flip of a coin.
This website is about making a place I can share the internal journey while out in the wild, not counting miles but rather what I find is able to set my soul on fire.
